Perpendicular alignment with a centerline axis of rotation

The illustration represents how a laser aligned to the axis of rotation of the gear box and extruder barrel can be used to align sheet rolls or pieces of equipment that need to be squared to the output of the extruder. Once the reference roll is made square to the output laser beam the L-733/L-732 or L-743/L-742 Geometry laser can be used to align the rest of the roll system.

In the procedure above we first set up the laser so that it is projecting a laser beam that is on center and parallel to the axis of rotation of the drive train. After the laser has been set-up the barrel is then aligned to laser.

We then can set-up a P-405 optical square and use the output beam to square rolls, dies, or molds to be square to the output square beam.

If required we than can use the geometry laser system to align the rest of the roll system (see roll alignment data sheet).
