Roll Alignment set-up

When the scan plane is made parallel with the reference roll, two reference targets are set up at either end of the machine to establish a datum plane to the reference roll. Now the laser can be moved along any point between the reference targets (datum plane) and produce a square plane with relationship to the reference roll plane.

Note: Targets are mounted on a v-block style magnetic base with a level vial attached to the base so that top dead center can be found at each location on the roll. If the user wishes they can use the numbers displayed on the readout and sweep the target through the laser beam to find the highest point also.
