Maintenance Diagnostic Systems, Inc. Geometric Alignment Certification Course Basic

Class Length: 24 hours

Class Size: 6 students

SPECIFIC NEEDS TRAINING ADDRESSES:

It will provide the trainee with information to setup and perform a Three Point Buck-In (flat plane), Two Point Buck-In (straight line), and Five Point Buck-In (Squareness), calibrate level vials, and record measurements relative to flat or level.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

This course will provide theory explanation and hands on training in the following areas:

• Terminology
• Equipment Connections
• Laser and Target Setup
• Calibration of Level Vials
• Creating a Flat Plane, Straight Line, and Square Planes to a datum

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Trainee will be able to:

• Identify and Describe equipment and functions
• Correctly setup and perform a Two, Three, and Five Point Buck-In
• Correctly calibrate Readouts to Targets
• Correctly calibrate Level Vials
• Measure and edge or a Straight line with a scanning plane or a straight-line beam
• Correctly setup and establish reference target datum points
