We are insuring that the simulated transfer line is flat and straight and that the wing bases are perpendicular to the line, in preparation to begin the setting of the spindle boxes and begin spindle alignment.

Prerequisite: To have used and been trained in at least one of the alignment technologies (geometry, spindle, and shaft)

Class Length: 32 hours

Class Size: 6 students

SPECIFIC NEEDS TRAINING ADDRESSES:

To provide the student with information and hands on use of Hamar Laser's geometry, spindle, and shaft alignment systems in a simulated machine build experience.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS:

This course will provide theory explanation and hands on training in the following areas and gives the student an overview of which types of alignment practices should be used in the field.

  • Terminology
  • Laser system setups for a flat plane, strait line, level and square planes to a datum using the L-723 Triple Scan Geometry System
  • Aligning drive systems with the Hamar Laser Shaft Alignment System
  • Aligning spindles to a master part with the Hamar Laser L-700 systems
  • Alignment of Sheaves with the Hamar Sheave System
  • Foundation prep and utilization of Unisorb systems

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Trainee will be able to:

  • Identify and describe equipment and functions
  • Correctly setup and use the Geometry, Spindle, Sheave and Shaft systems
  • Identify necessary aspects of alignment and procedures required for machine installation
