Level II & III

Level II is generally an advanced version of Level I. This 5 day course is designed to meet the intent of SNT-TC-1A. Students successfully completing this course are familiar with the scope and limitations of Airborne/Structure Borne Ultrasonic Inspection, are able to set up and calibrate equipment, interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications, and organize and report inspection results. Course content consists of advanced theory, data collection, inspection techniques, and reporting. A General, Specific, and Practical test is given at the end of the course.

Level III is a comprehensive study of Airborne Ultrasound. Personnel who qualify and certify to Level III will:

Interpret Codes and Standards
Establish New Test Methods Suitable to Codes and Standards
Establish New Testing Methods for New Test Problems
Establish Testing Technique, Probe Selection, Sensitivity Adjustment and Equipment for Each Application

Establish Result Recording Criteria
Evaluate Test Results Considering Given Acceptance Standards
Application of Codes and Standards
Establish Acceptance Standards in Collaboration with Specialists from the Field of Maintenance, Environmental Compliance and Safety
